We're the Computer Science Society at Aston. We run social and tech events, open to all. You don’t need to be studying CS to be a part of the society, we’re all about learning and sharing ideas!

Who We Are & What We Do

Welcome to Aston Computer Science Society! We're the Computer Science Society at Aston University, and we run two events every week; a Social Session and a Technical Talk.

  • Social Sessions: A chance to meet and chat with fellow students.
  • Technical Talks: Hand-picked topics to sharpen your technical knowledge and skills.

We also have strong industry connections to help you secure internships and placements, through partner-led workshops and events.
 

AstonHack

AstonHack is our own annual hackathon. For those who aren't familiar, hackathons are events where attendees showcase their creativity and technical skills infront of our industry partners. Winners win big prizes, like last year's winners who each got a gaming monitor!

Keep an eye out for updates regarding our 10th AstonHack happening later this year.

Membership

Join the Aston Computer Science Society for just £5 for the year. Memberships can be purchased via the Aston Students' Union's website. Buying a membership helps support the society, and allows us to improve our events.
